Some pictures from yesterday's 'adventure'!!

The approach of rescue ferry

A view of the few chairs on the deck

Tying up to Primadonna, see the deck where we spent our trip

David, dressed to leave the ship

Ah, they realized we needed more chairs

Farewell Primadonna

Our ' Luxury' cruise

And to those who commented- I am not expecting ANY compensation, as they would not give 12 euro per room for free wifi. However I have a Boingo account and that covered me and so have excellent Internet at long last

The Viking Primadonna ran aground on the lower Danube At approx. 8:00 pm Thurs. The passengers were not informed untill late the next morning . We were finally rescued by a very dirty barge andtugboat 36 hours later . we were provided water one small sandwich and an apple . It was 31 degrees C very hot and no washroom facilities . We got on the barge at 12:30 pm and arrived in a small Romanian port at 6 pm still no bathroom break . The passengers were then loaded onto 4 busses to Bucharest . We finally had a bathroom break at 7:30 pm in a very filthy bathroom . I would advise anyone not to travel with Viking .

Viking has not provided a letter of apology for a very obvious error in naviagating . There were two ships in the middle of the channel ahead of us , the Captain trying to maintain a schedule tried to pass the other ships and got to close to the bank in low water and ran aground .Stay away from Viking this is not a good cruise line the food is awfull the program directors are rude and if you want to see churches every day then fine . They have no imagination .
